What began as a humble idea to breathe new life into social gatherings, and contribute to local causes has blossomed into a weekly village event. Run purely by volunteers and based in the village hall, the Pop-Up Pub provides a safe and welcoming space for the residents of Quarley, their family and friends.
The heart of this initiative was to support the village hall and church. These institutions serve as the backbone of the small community, providing a space for gatherings, celebrations, and reflection. However, maintaining such facilities requires resources, and the Pop-Up Pub has proven to be an additional source of funding, helping to ensure that these vital pillars remain standing for generations to come.
The Casual Cafe is open every other Sunday serving breakfasts, homemade cakes and biscuits.
The cafe is often frequented by runners (with and without dogs), cyclists, walkers and of course local residents.
Games and newspapers are also available. Run by volunteers with profits going to the village hall to help with running costs.
